Where It All Began
I was born in India, but I moved to the United Kingdom when I was five years old. Although India was where my story began, I have no real memories of those early years, only the stories my family has shared over time.
Growing up in England shaped much of who I am today. It became home, where I spent my childhood, built a career, discovered lifelong interests, and learned many of the lessons that continue to guide me. Yet despite the distance, my connection to India never completely disappeared. It remained part of my family's story, quietly waiting to become part of my own.
Finding My Feet
Moving to the United Kingdom wasn't simply a change of country—it was the beginning of an entirely new life.
At five years old, I left behind the only world I had ever known. While I was too young to have built many friendships in India, I suddenly found myself in a place where everything was unfamiliar. I didn't speak English, and for a while my mum was my only real companion as I slowly adapted to a new school, a new culture, and a new language.
Looking back, I realise just how much of my life was still waiting to unfold. At the time, it was simply the beginning of a journey I couldn't yet imagine.
